Prosecution Opening Statements

These are notes about the opening statements, not a transcript.

• Immediately instructs the jury about the plea of insanity and instructions they will receive about mental defect and how to determine.
• Goes into details about the case and state shows a video with Letecia and Gannon. Gannon is concerned about his burns.
• Explains details of Letecia cleaning the crime scene where there was blood. There were no obvious signs of blood when law enforcement came to her home because she had cleaned.
• No knife or shell casings were ever found because of her getting rid of evidence.
• Explaining more "deliberate and thoughtful actions".
• Prosecutor going over all the lies and stories Letecia told police.
• Doctors and GPS experts will testify. Jury will decide who and what they want to believe.
• Letecia's daughter will testify for the prosecution.
• Plays a portion of the 911 call Letecia made saying she was the last person to see Gannon.
