Timeline
- February 2009: Rose Marie Bly and Christopher Larson are married. They already have two children together by this point.
- June 1st, 2009: Rose Bly is arrested after a domestic violence incidence with her husband, Christopher Larson.
- Rose claimed that Christopher put her in a chokehold.
- June 4th: 2009: Christopher Larson files for divorce.
- August 6th, 2009: A paternity case regarding Rose’s youngest daughter is dropped. Divorce proceedings are canceled.
- August 21st, 2009:
- Daytime: Rose, Christopher, and their two children visit the mall. Rose and Christopher each get a new cell phone. Rose transferred her SIM card to her new phone.
- 7:30 PM: Rose leaves her home in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. She is headed to Cushing, Wisconsin to meet up with one of her cousins.
- Note: Her cousin stated that they had no plans to meet. She did not see Rose that night.
- 9:00 PM: Rose calls home and tells Christopher she will be home around midnight.
- August 22nd, 2009: Christopher reports Rose missing.
- Note: Most sources say this was on August 23rd but a press release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office says the report was received on the 22nd.
- August 26th, 2009: Rose’s car is found in Grantsburg, Wisconsin.
- Note: This is her home town.
- The vehicle was fingerprinted. All prints belonged to Rose or one of her family members. DNA recovered from the car has been entered into CODIS with no publicly known match as of October 2024.
- September 10th, 2009: Christopher files for divorce.
- His attorney stated he was asking for a protective order for their two children in case she returned and tried to take them.
- Note: The children were one and two years old at the time.
