The Disappearance of Rose Bly
At 7:30 PM on August 21, 2009, 21-year-old Rose Marie Bly left her home in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin to visit a cousin in nearby Cushing just 5 miles away. A mother with a husband and two daughters, she was looking forward to a night out. Instead, Rose Marie has never been seen or heard from again.
Just three weeks after having reported her missing on August 23, her husband Christopher Larson filed for divorce, citing fear that she could return and take their two children.
Rose Marie Bly was reportedly wearing a pair of jeans, a green v-neck sweater, a white tank top, and flip flop sandals. Her ears and belly button are pierced and she has a tattoo of cherries on her right ankle.
In a strange twist some 12 years later, Bly’s 5-year-old niece, Summer Wells, disappeared from the Rogersville, Tennessee home of her parents Donald Wells Jr. and Candus Bly (Rose’s sister.) Authorities do not believe the cases are related.
