A Typical School Day

6:10 am Iquilla gets up & gets ready for work at Kawai American in Lincolnton, NC. 6:30 am Iquilla wakes Asha & O’Bryant. 6:30-7:15 am Asha & O’Bryant are responsible for:

• Getting themselves dressed.
• Fixing their own breakfast (typically a pop tart, toaster strudel or frozen waffles).
• Brushing their teeth.
• Getting out the door to catch the bus to school. (According to district guidance, students were expected to be outside at their assigned bus stop at least 10 minutes before they were scheduled to be picked up. We include this solely as a point of reference for context.)

7:30 am Asha & O’Bryant meet the school bus & ride to Fallston Elementary School. (It is believed school started at 7:55 am based on current, publicly available information.)

After School

2:50-3:15 pm School is finished for the day. (While we cannot locate a bell schedule from 2000, based on current information the time is our best deduction.)

• Asha & O’Bryant ride the bus home together.
• Homework must be completed before they can go outside to play.
• Either Iquilla or Harold checked their work to make sure the rule was obeyed. Iquilla says they were used to following rules.)
• Weather On days Iquilla believed it was too cold, they didn’t play outside.
• Television There was no TV unless one/both parent(s) approved it.
• Iquilla states Asha didn’t care & did not really like TV anyway for the most part. Asha did enjoy watching Rugrats & she had recently started watching, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
