Case File: Vallow Daybell
Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell have both been found guilty in Idaho of the murders of Lori’s daughter, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan, and her adopted son, 7-year-old JJ Vallow as well as Chad’s first wife, Tammy Daybell.
Vallow faces more charges in Arizona.
Lori Vallow will also soon face trial in Arizona on charges of conspiracy to commit murder regarding the death of her then-husband, Charles Vallow, as well as her niece’s former husband Brandon Boudreaux, both in 2019. This trial is set to start April 7 2025.
General Overview
Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow
In September 2019, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old JJ Vallow disappeared. Tylee was last seen alive at Yellowstone National Park on September 8. JJ was last seen alive at Kennedy Elementary School in Rexburg, Idaho on September 22.
- Lori Vallow has been found guilty of their murders. She was sentenced to life with no possibility of parole.
- Chad Daybell was also found guilty of first-degree murder as well as conspiracy to commit murder regarding Tylee and JJ’s deaths. He was sentenced to death.
Tammy Daybell
- Tammy and Chad were married in 1990. They had five children together and also started a publishing company.
- On October 19th, 2019, she reportedly passed away unexpectedly in her sleep. At Chad’s request, she had no autopsy. Later circumstances would reveal just how suspicious Tammy’s death was. She was exhumed and an autopsy was performed. Her cause of death was revised and manner was changed to homicide.
- Lori Daybell has been found guilty of conspiracy to commit her murder. She was sentenced to life with no possibility of parole.
- Chad Daybell has been found guilty of her murder and sentenced to death.
Charles Vallow
- Charles Vallow married Lori Ryan in 2006. Together, they adopted JJ Vallow, the biological grandnephew of Charles.
- On July 11, 2019, Charles Vallow was shot and killed by Lori Vallow’s brother, Alex Cox at her home in Chandler, Arizona. Cox claimed self-defense and no one faced charges at the time.
- Lori Vallow will face trial in Arizona on charges of conspiracy to commit murder on April 7th.
Brandon Boudreaux
- Brandon is the ex-husband of Lori Vallow’s niece, Melani.
- Lori Vallow will face trial in Arizona on charges of conspiracy to commit murder in June.
